This is a relatively new time trial, the road is an out and back course, fairly good pavement. The whole time I was racing there was only one vehicle on the road so it was easier to ride over to the left for the smoother surface.
My category was very small and I started last in the group, my plan was to start off at a reasonable pace but not go too hard to soon. I could see my minute rider from the moment I started, the plan was to eventually catch her before the turn,but I caught her at just over two miles in to the race and then my two minute rider not long after.
Eventually some of the following men started to pass me but it just kept me motivated. I reached the turn and noticed there was another rider from a group that started before mine, the plan was to try and catch her before the finish. I eventually caught her with a mile to go.
I definitely recommend this TT to anyone who would like to try a time trial, just glad it wasn’t raining as registration and parking was near a manure pile!!!!
